Halloween

Kinsley is Supergirl!!!
Kinsley is obsessed with her super girl costume…she has to wear it all the time. It’s so funny watching her run around and pretends she is saving the world.

For Halloween we went downtown to East Lansing and to Eastwood Town Center to go trick-or-treating. We had to go to the Wizard of Oz house. The kids absolutely loved it. They got to feed puppets that were coming out of a fence with real carrots
Kinsley had a cute Halloween party at her school. They walked around and had a couple of cute games and crafts. Kinsley’s favorite was Max who was Superman.

Skyler's 30th Birthday

I wanted to surprise Skyler for his 30th birthday. The last 5 years he has worked so hard and I thought it would be fun to do something big. So I talked to Tori our really good friend and we both decided to take our husbands to a Philadelphia Eagles game and stay in New York.

We stayed in a cute friend’s apartment in the city. We went to Rock of Ages the broadway show. Way fun!! Went to ground zero and saw the waterfalls, which I really wanted to see. Traveled to Philly and saw the Eagles play the Cowboys. And filled in the rest of the time exploring the city and eating at great restaurants.

Utah

A Utah Summer
Skyler had a clinical elective that he was able to schedule through the Huntsman Cancer Center/University of Utah during the month of July. We lived out of an extra bedroom at my parents.  It was so much fun being there with our families. We made the most of it by planning as much as we could.  Skyler was working a bajillion hours a week which was annoying but we still had a lot of fun.  Despite going to many places and doing many things, we most enjoyed the simple things we could do with family like BBQs, birthday parties, swimming and playing games.  Below are just a few pictures of many from our many adventures:

We went to St. George and stayed for a week with all the cousins. Kenny and Jenny flew into Vegas and spent July 24th with us.

All the Johnson clan went to the annual Oakley Rodeo.

Disneyland

Kinsley's Birthday
On June 24th, 2013,  we had some close friends over to celebrate Kinsley's 4th birthday.  She picked out a Hello Kitty cupcake cake which she loved almost as much as playing with all of her friends. One week later, we met Skyler's parents, whom we hadn't seen in several months, in Disneyland.

For a fun surprise for Kins, my friend Jessica Andersen made her a cute Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) dress. Kins was so excited she had to wear it on the first day. What was the first activity she wanted to do, you ask?! You guessed it! We had to go and meet all of the princesses. Coincidentally, the first princess she met while wearing her dress was Princess Aurora.  Kins was SO happy! She just stared at her in awe tho whole time. So cute.

She also absolutely LOVED meeting Merida, from the movie Brave. Merida talked to her about how they both had curly hair and then asked Kinsley to take home her baby bear brother's 'because they are such trouble makers!' Kinsley was all about it and very confused as we tried to explain to her why we couldn't keep them. She reminded us periodically throughout the trip that we needed to take them home. Kins also met many other princesses and characters and had the time of her life.

Over the next several days we spent time in Disneyland, California Adventure, Sea World and Universal Studios. We had a ton of fun with Sky's parents and his siser Heather even came down to hangout from N. California.

The best part about Universal Studios was the new Transformer's Ride.  It was AMAZING!  The best ride we've ever been on.  We all loved it and went on it multiple times...even Kinsley.

Matt and Ashley Sing's Wedding.

Had a bunch a fun pictures of my Kins!! Love her so much!
The Coupes...our good friends that we made move in right next door to us in Cedarwood. Two years went really fast. So sad to see them move to their home in Las Vegas. Always will love them. Kinsley still talks about playing with them every day. Miss them tons.

Easter April 2013

Coloring Easter eggs and making Kinsley her first sugar egg.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Greencrest.

We had our own hunt randomly in front of our house with the Beckers, Coupes and the Blatters. And also had a easter party for playgroup.
Hanging out with the neighbors doing a campfire. All the kids were always in the Coupes playing in their fun basement.

My Birthday

 February, 8th 2013
Skyler was so nice and bought me a cute cake and invited some friends over for some ice cream cake! My favorite!!

Christmas 2012

Making gingerbread houses as a family.
Shortly before Christmas, we went to Peacock Farms and saw Santa. We got on a train and went to the North Pole to his cabin. Kinsley asked Santa for a toy horse and a toy dog. We drank hot chocolate and stood by the fire until the train came to pick us back up.
We went to Utah for Christmas.  It was a lot of fun but SO busy. We went to the cabin, St. George, and hung out with friends and family.

Christmas Eve we met up with all the brothers and sistes at the Johnson's and got fun cute PJs from Sky's parents.

Later that night we went to the Moss side and did the Nativity with all the grandkids and ate yummy appetizers.
All the grandkids got cute pjs to sleep in for christmas.
We started Christmas morning by opening presents at my parents house with Michelle, Haylie and Riley who were there too.
All the sisters came over a little bit later on Christmas morning and my mom made her famous brunch for all of us.

Heather came to visit in September of 2012. One of the days while she was here we went to Uncle John's Cider Mill, drank cider and ate donuts!

Great Wolf Lodge

Bryan and Denece came to visit for Thanksgiving. We went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky, Ohio. Kinsley of course loved it...story time, the food, and especially the waterslides. We might have to do this every year.

Halloween 2012

Kinsley wanted to be a pink fairy princess. My friend Jessica made her the cutest dress. We went to our friends trunk-or-treat. A couple days later went to the Honda dealership and got Kinsley's face painted, balloon animals and tons of candy.

AOA

Skyler was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. We went to the banquet and had a really nice dinner and they talked about the inductees individual accomplishments.

Camping

All of Cedarwood went camping in the backyard. Jared and Stephanie had there trailer out. Jess and Doug got their projector out and the kids watched a movie on the side of the house.
We made a fire, told scary stories and roasted marshmallows. Kinsley and I found a cute frog which she and all the kids played with all night, until I thought it was going to die if we didn't let it go.
Just some of the Cedarwood girls.
